Corporate Governance

The aim of Corporate Governance is to harmonise the processes in companies, to improve the transparency of their operations, to provide consistent information for shareholders and investors, and to enhance communication. The recommendations on Corporate Governance have been compiled for publicly listed companies, but other companies can also utilise the same principles to enhance their operations.

Corporate Governance focuses on the operations of Board of Directors and Managing Director or CEO, the role of the Annual General Meeting in the company’s decision-making, risk management and documents that are important for the shareholders (Articles of Association or other constituting documents and shareholders’ agreements). It also covers the organisation of communication.

The Finnish Central Chamber of Commerce has published an agenda for Improving Corporate Governance of Unlisted Companies. Our experts are happy to help you with the development and deployment of Corporate Governance in your company.
